Mia & Mel Crepes – Has been in the Portobello Road Market for 3 months. Its a new venture for Mia Ouanes.  Originally of France, she mixes up her own brand of crepes, Belgian waffles, Panini and soon will be introducing Churros. Made mainly from choux pastry, Churros is a snack popular in Spain, Portugal, France, the Philippines, Ibero-America and the South-western United States.

Operating from her stall situated under the bridge at Portobello Road, Churros is a fried-dough pastry dipped in cinnamon, will be one of the main items on sale over the weekend of the Notting Hill Carnival, one of Europe’s’ largest street festival .

Mia and Mel Crepes NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL UK 2016

It takes place over the Last Bank Holiday weekend of the year and is attended by an estimated 1.5 million revellers and Foodtravelogue.com. For 9 hours on two days, you can dance along to parades, follow different floats, see individually designed costumes and exotic steel bands or stand and enjoy the sound systems.

After sampling the fare on offer such as Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat with rice ‘n’ peas and Patties as far as the eyes and smell can take.
