Jamaica No Problem

Jamaica No Problem

Vacationing in Jamaica can sometimes somersault your senses, with all manner of spectacular sights and experiences. Even a region as crammed with jewels as the Caribbean, Jamaica is a powerfully beautiful island.

Your adventure begins in crystalline waters flowing over gardens of coral, lapping onto soft sandy beaches.

Then moves up past red soil and lush banana groves into sheer mountains, as rushing waterfalls which seem to erupt out of nowhere.

Whereas the Jamaican culture can be a daunting subject for foreigners and the patios is sometimes difficult to understand.

Ultimately it’s a matter of just appreciating this great green garden of a land and how its cyclical rhythms set the pace of so much of the island life.

Beneath the waves here, there’s great scuba diving and snorkelling. Also plenty of outdoor adventures too, for those that want it. Because while Jamaica’s beaches are certainly alluring, this a country to dive into, literally and figuratively

You can float on the water too with lazy bamboo-raft trips, where the adventurer in you can go caving, or get their hiking boots on to explore the remote crags and forests of this crumpled landscape.

But before exploring, fuel up on delicious, stick-to-your-ribs food like jerk chicken, Curry Goat and Plantains. At nights, it’s also worth visiting the authentic music clubs of Kingston.

For the best traveller day trips head to: Blue Hole, Secret Falls, and Dunn’s River Falls Combo Day-Trip operating from Montego Bay.

Catamaran Cruise & Negril Beach with Rick’s Café. Catamaran Cruise with Snorkelling & Dunn’s River Falls from Ocho Rios/Montego Bay. Rafting on Martha Brae River or even bobsledding down Mystic Mountain.

Alternatively, there are many, many ship cruises leaving from various regions all heading to and from Jamaica. Some travellers and ex-pats prefer to take their holiday ‘all-inclusive’ as this gives a totally free hand to really enjoy themselves.

However, this usually means never meeting the general population, as activities, dining and all aspects are within the resorts boundary.

Whichever way you go, it will leave you wanting to come back for more. As they say “Jamaica, No Problem”.
